At Least 18 inches of base material is excavated (well above the ICPI standard of 9-12"). Several layers of 3/4" process stone are layed and compacted, never exceeding 4" intervals. A perfect pitch is incorporated to make sure all surface water runs away from the house and never sits on the brick.
